We would like to give a gift of love to our friends and need your help. We are collecting items to make fidget blankets and are meeting to put the blankets together.\n\nWe need for several people to bring sewing machines to sew the items on blankets. The rest of us will pin items to the blankets. Items that we are collecting now include: material\, quilting filler\, zippers\, pockets\, buttons\, small doll clothes\, laces\, large wooden beads to string on the laces\, and straight pins. \n  \n\nFebruary: Beginner knitting class - We will be "starting" to knit baby caps\, scarves\, or baby booties or crochet a dish rag. We will learn casting on and basic stitches for knitting and very basic crochet stitches. Bring your own yarn (please\, no specialty yarns; 100% cotton yarn is needed for creating the dish rags) and needles. You will need either straight knitting needles (suggested sizes 7\, 8\, or 9) or crochet hooks 9 (or I) or 10 (or J)\, or a circular needle 16" or shorter. Metal is recommended. You will also need scissors and a tapestry needle.\nMarch: Beginner knitting class - We will be "starting" to knit baby caps\, scarves\, or baby booties or crochet a dish rag.
